Sara's full firsthand review
I've been coming to Anonymous Café since the summer and I must say.. they do not disappoint! I enjoy visiting this cozy Greek style coffee house. It's a bit small inside but that definitely adds to the overall charm of the place. Its appealing and quaint inside with just a few tables and chairs. There is even a sofa chair to cozy yourself up on. I have tried both Greek iced coffees and they are quite strong. I do not suggest these drinks if you are not into strong coffee. They are bitter and dark. I always ask for extra milk. Sometimes there's more ice than substance. So definitely make sure you get more coffee and less ice! Otherwise, its kind of a ripoff. Anyway, at least that's how I see it. There are lattes as well, which are quite nice. I absolutely enjoy the Greek desserts here. They are virtually difficult to find in Sugar Land and I suggest the honey & nut cookies, as well as the eckmeck. The eckmeck is a layered dessert consisting of shredded phillo, custard and cream. Topped with some toasted almonds and powdered sugar. It is heavenly! I enjoy the fragrant and syrupy desserts and they pair quite well with any coffee. I have not tried the pound cakes.. yet. But they look plump and tasty. They offer savory meals but I have not tried anything off the savory menu yet. The food served here looks fresh and homemade, so I definitely want to try it next time around. Besides, Greek food is know to be healthy! You just cant say no to a Mediterranean diet. :) Anyway, the folks running this place are quite friendly. They make you feel welcomed and at home. I highly suggest supporting this local business and I believe they deliver some of the best coffee in SL. Until next time!
