Service and food has downgraded. The young lady who took our order disappeared during the transaction, in which another young lady took over. She was just as scatter brained as the other one. I ordered a brownie and cafe latte on a Friday night. My latte was very sweet, flat and cold. It didn't even come with a saucer, so I had to carefully hold my coffee mug. Desserts didn't look that appealing, so I ordered a simple chocolate studded brownie. My brownie never showed up. I got up and had to ask for it, in which case they had forgotten about it. Brownie was way too sweet. They were definitely short staffed, and the cafe was unclean and unkempt. Black Walnut SL doesn't have the appeal and charm that it used to have.
