Sara's full firsthand review

Beautiful market studded with lively handmade art, global food, and enthusiastic vendors. Greenwich Market is truly a hole in the wall kind of market. Its nestled inside a passageway in between buildings and its very unassuming. I had a wonderful time visiting this market on the weekend. It just so happened to be a weekend and the market was bustling with all kinds of people. I went on a Saturday afternoon and ended up revisiting on Sunday as well. All of the local artists are incredibly friendly and charming. I tried many samples of local foods and ended up consuming a few snacks and hot coffee. I highly recommend the Jamaican ginger cake - it's fantastic! The young vendors behind the stand were very friendly and talkative. We chatted for a bit and I decided on the ginger cake after taking a sample. The market has a great selection of desserts, fresh fruit juice, coffee, vegan and non vegan items. You will find many food trucks parked in the open area of the market as well. There are many displays of local art that you can purchase. Inside the market, you will find many galleries showcasing paintings, pottery, and botanical art. This is the place to visit when purchasing or deciding on gifts for loved ones. There are a few coffee houses located right outside the market as well. Red Door, Peyton & Byrne, etc. I definitely recommend visiting any of these cafes while browsing throughout London on a chilly day. Visit this market - you'll be in for a treat in a multitude of ways.
