Tacos Doña Lena review

Absolutely amazing tacos in this hole in the wall joint. Zesty food made by zesty and kind folk. Some of their food took me back to the yucatan peninsula. The comida takes time to get to the table but all in all, it's worth it. So many to-go orders being taken place and many tables scattered round the spot. Needless to say, the staff are big on courtesy and cleanliness. Their are about 6 fresh in house made salsa's to enjoy with the meal. The refreshing juices (aguas frescas) are made in house as well; with actual chunks of fruit and pulp. The juice is sweet and cold, pairing well with the savory food. I truly recommend the grande avocado quesadilla and the crispy tostada. Heck, the tacos are great as well. Their are many items on the menu, flexible and accommodating for any palette. Plenty of vegetarian items to choose from and the beans, tortillas are vegetarian (no lard). Bonus points! As many folk don't consume pork these days. Looking forward to revisiting and trying the nopal (cactus) and sopa (soup). Glad to have a warm spot such as Doña Lena in the neighborhood.
